Johnson Family "Mini" Reunion

We had kind of a "mini" reunion this year. It was so amazing to see the faces we hadn't seen for so long. This is just a pre-cursor to the "big one" in 2010!! It was so much fun but far too short. Can't wait to see more folks next year. We just don't get together near enough anymore. It makes me so sad that my kids hardly know my side of the family or have no idea what our reunions used to be like. I don't really know what happened. Growing up we had reunions every year and we looked forward to them more than Christmas. My favorites were in Logan where we'd camp & play baseball in the park & had games and talent shows at the little hall next to the park. Our family was so close. Those were some good times. Hopefully this year was the beginning of the new Johnson Family Reunions!!

Ashley's Baby Shower!

Will's gonna be here soon!

We went to Ashley's shower on June 28th & enjoyed watching her get baby gifts for Will. It's hard to beleive he'll be here soon. It is so surreal that my baby brother is having a baby.

Ashley and Billy are gonna be such incredible parents. They have such a strong faith in Jesus and love each other so much! They have built an incredible foundation together and are so blessed.

I can't wait to meet him!!

Cancun Baby!

I got to enjoy a dreamy getaway with my man for a few days at Club Med in Cancun, Mexico.It was a little eerie because there were no people at all. Many of the nearby resorts were closed. In fact, we got there the first day Club Med opened after the swine flu scare. We had the place to ourselves. It was amazing! We went on an excursion by catamaran to La Isla Majures. We did some snorkeling on the way and stopped for some lunch on a private island. It was absolutley fabulous. I love to spend time with Gary like this- it is just so important to get away from it all with your best friend. Good times!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's day is one of my favorite days of the year! Cuz I get to PLANT FLOWERS! YAY!! I find it very interesting how gardening and mothering are so much alike. We have to continually nurture both plants and kids- feed & water them, talk nice to them, and work hard all year to keep the weeds out of their lives! I am grateful every minute of every day for my kiddos and for God giving me such a precious gift. Motherhood rocks!! I want to thank my mom, step-moms, mother-in-law and my aunts who had such a big part of raising me. You are all amazing women and I appreciate you more than you know!

Em's Prom!

Brock & Em have known each other since 3rd grade. They took notice of each other at Em's birthday party and he asked her to prom! As always, she looked beautiful! Brock looked great too!

Baseball with the Swenson & Weis'!

Nothin' like a friendly ball game with yer pals!! It was finally warm enough to play! We spent the day at the park soakin' in the sun & some good bonding time. We love these families and it was such a fun treat- what a great beginning to summer!!

I'm Gonna Be an Aunt Twice This Year!

My brother Billy and his wife Ashley are expecting their first little one on August 22nd. He's gonna be a baby boy! They are naming him Charles William Johnson III and calling him Will.

Gary's brother Derin and his wife Marilee are expecting their first little one on September 9th. She's gonna be a baby girl! They are naming her Addison.

Bring on those baby toes! Your crazy kissin' aunt awaits!!!

Em's Sweet 16 Very Merry Un-Birthday Party!

Em turned 16! We wanted to give her a dream party so we asked her what she wanted to do. She said she wanted an Alice in Wonderland party. I was a little apprehensive, after all she wasn't turning 8! To our happy surprise it actually turned out really cool- and she had a great turn out! She had 30 friends celebrate with her & she had the time of her life! Success!!

I cannot believe my baby is 16 today. You know the ole cliche- it seems like just yesterday..but it truly does. I am so proud of the incredible young lady Emily has become. She is such an amazing gift from above. So beautiful, kind, smart, and talented. She has incredible values and truly stands up for what she believes. I am so beyond grateful for her. Thank you Lord for my baby girl!
